Who killed JFK ?

11:33 AM.

Kennedy’s flight lands at Loves Fields’ Dallas airport. The sun is bright, it is a warm day and John Fitzgerald Kennedy (JFK) is confident that it is going to be a good day. 

11:40 AM.

Jackie Kennedy comes out first of the plane before her husband. With her powder pink suit by Chanel, she is marvelous. This trip is a symbol of courage after having a stillborn baby a few weeks before.

11:45 AM.

Dallas mayor’s wife, Elizabeth Cabell offers a bouquet of red roses. Jackie was used to being given yellow roses instead of red roses. Furthermore, yellow roses are a symbol of Texas. Then why offer red roses instead of yellow ones ? Was it a sign ?

11:55 AM.

JFK and his wife get into a midnight-blue Lincoln continental. There are 6 people in the convertible car. JFK, Jackie, John Connally, Texas governor, his wife Nellie Connally and two members of the Secret Service : Roy Kellerman and Bill Greer, the driver.

11:56 AM.

The car starts the last journey of JFK. The destination ? Dallas Market Center for a lunch with democrats people. But before, the president wants to visit Dallas and say hello to american’s citizens. 

12:29 AM.

“Now you won’t be able to say we don’t love you here in Dallas.” says Mme Connally to Kennedy.

12:30 AM.

Bang. Bill Greer thinks it’s an engine failure. The car slows down. A bullet entered JFK’s shoulder blade and exited through his neck. Bang. Another gunshot. Bang. A bullet passes through the head of JFK. He falls unconscious. 

12:42 AM.

The car just arrived at Parkland Hospital. Some people said that Jackie was holding her husband’s head and gave some brain cells to the urgentist.

1:00 PM. Kennedy is dead.

1:20 PM.

Medical sources leak that JFK is dead. Nothing official but panic is starting to spread. As the first catholic president, two priests come to administer the last rites.

1:33 PM.

“He died of a gunshot wound to the brain”. Malcom Kilduff officially announces to the press and the world the death of the youngest President of America. The crowd cries.

2:05 PM.

The coffin leaves the hospital. When suggested to the widow that she remove her bloodstained suit, she replied, “I want the whole world to see what Dallas did to my husband”.

2:20 PM.

The coffin is hoisted in Air Force One.

2:30 PM.

Sarah Hughes, the only female federal judge appointed by Kennedy, swore in Lyndon Johnson. Accompanied by Jackie, still stained with her husband’s blood, the new president performed the ceremony on the bible that Kennedy carried everywhere.
